Gertrude is back in stock! Gertrude is a wonderful children's story written and illustrated by locals Jessica Dean and Marc Eiden (and yes I am talkin local - as in West Footscray!) This beautifully illustrated book is in line with the philosophy of the writer, Jessica Dean, who believes children's literature should not be "dumbed down" This is a magical adventure suitable for children 5 years and up. Ever met a celebrity LION or a body building GORILLA? What about a fashion designing LIZARD, a troupe of freedom-fighting acrobatic RATS or a spectacular SPARROW? Jessica Dean first launched Gertrude at Post Industrial Design last year. The launch included and exhibition of limited edition prints from the illustrations. The launch and the exhibition was a huge success, so much so that we sold out of books totally!
